LETTER FROM THE EDITORS: What’s New at the Tigress HQ?

Hey there!!

Sophie & Freya from Tigress here! We wanted to give you a little insight into how we’ve been filling the days lately at the Tigress Mag HQs–we’ve got so much exciting stuff going on right now that we don’t want you to miss!

A Promo to Save you $$$!

We’ve got a really great promotion going on this week that expires at the end of the day on May 22nd!! If you order a copy of Volume One online before the 23rd, you’ll receive a promo code over email that will hook you up with free shipping when you order Volume Two this winter! Don’t miss out on the chance to save a few bucks, because who doesn’t want that?!

Speaking over Volume Two…

For anyone who has asked when the next print edition of Tigress will be released, we’ve got your answer! In case you’ve missed the memo, our plan is to publish a hardcopy volume of Tigress Magazine for Girls at the end of each year– an annual, if you will. Expect to see Volume Two released a few weeks earlier this year, so at the end of November (but don’t worry about missing it, we’ll be sure to keep you updated via these emails when we get closer to the launch). Things are already underway with plans to make Volume Two even better than Volume One!

Remember our crowdfunding campaign last summer?

Chances are if you’re reading this, you were one of the wonderful people who pledged to our Pozible crowdfunding campaign last summer that enabled us to print and release Volume One! We won’t be holding a second campaign this year, but within the next few weeks, you’ll be able to sign up to be a patron of Tigress! This means you’ll be able to make one-off or monthly donations of a set amount. Stay tuned and keep an eye on your emails to find out more about how you can become a patron.

Speaking of supporting Tigress…

We are looking for sponsors to partner with! Do you have a business, company, event, or product that you want to market to our global readership of awesome girls and women? Let’s chat and see if we’d be a good fit. We can send you our advertising packages and our media kit; we’ve got options for online and print, with a variety of formats depending on what you’re looking to promote. Please keep in mind that we only work with brands and individuals that align with our goals and mission at Tigress.

On a different note: submit to Pride Week!
In honor of June’s Pride Month, Tigress is having our very own Pride Week from June 6th through 12th. We’re looking for submissions that focus on everything LGBTQIA, be it an opinion piece, art series, interview, or otherwise! If you have a project or proposal you’d like to share, please send us an email at tigressmagforgirls@gmail.com with “Pride Week Submission” in the subject line. Submissions close on May 25th!

Other deadlines–do you want to be a Tigress Intern?

We’re looking for teen gals interested in interning with Tigress! In short, we’ll have three rounds of three month internships starting this June, July, and August that will give you great, real-world experience in running a magazine! You can download the application and find more details here.

And last but not least…

We’re very excited to reveal our new and improved website!! If you haven’t already, take a look and let us know what you think of the new designs, illustrated by co-editor Sophie.

Thanks for bearing with us through this lengthy letter. We hope you’re at least a little jazzed up about all the exciting things happening at Tigress, because we certainly are! As always, we’re here if you have any questions, thoughts, concerns, or just want to say hello!

With love and gratitude,
