Lauren May (she/her) is a neurodivergent writer, storyteller, and advocate living inside the layered realities of ME/CFS, Long COVID, and multiple chronic illnesses.
Her work centres disability justice, radical care, and the urgent need to reimagine inclusion—not as a checkbox, but as a culture we build together. Drawing from lived experience, she challenges the narratives that too often overlook, simplify, or erase disabled and chronically ill lives—and makes space for the truths that don’t fit into neat boxes.
Lauren writes with a steady hand and a wide heart, holding both the personal and the political. She’s committed to amplifying underrepresented voices, fostering access, and creating the kind of visibility that leads to real change.
Her words have been published in independent outlets, shared by advocacy groups like the Open Medicine Foundation, and featured on national media. She’s currently working on a book that blends raw personal narrative with systemic critique—an invitation to see disability differently.
