Manifest Your Best Life with Aubrey Daquinag

Interview of Aubrey Daquinag by Freya Bennett

Have you ever felt like you were meant for something more? Like your dream life is just out of reach, but you’re not sure how to get there? In Your Soul Purpose: Manifest a Life You Love, certified life and success coach Aubrey Daquinag breaks down the art of manifestation in a way that’s practical, relatable, and achievable. With a mix of personal stories, psychology, and self-reflection exercises, Aubrey guides you through tuning into your intuition, clearing limiting beliefs, and taking aligned action. Think of it as your roadmap to creating a life that feels right—where your goals, passions, and purpose finally click into place. We caught up with Aubrey to chat about the inspiration behind her book, the power of tapping into your intuition, and how aligning with your soul’s purpose can lead to a life that truly lights you up.Your book focuses on manifesting a life you love—what inspired you to write it, and how has manifestation played a role in your own journey?

The inspiration behind Your Soul Purpose actually stemmed from my Signature SELF Methodology that I guide my coaching clients through. Which is an acronym for:

  • Self Connection
  • Emotional Empowerment
  • Lifestyle Design
  • Focus + Intuitive Flow

They are the four parts in the book represented as I. DISCOVERY, II. HEALING, III. RE-AWAKENING & IV. SERVICE. I received the ideas for the chapters instantly and in a very concrete way, I scribbled them down onto post-its notes and that’s when I knew this book had to be written. It was living inside of me in very much intangible form for years — thoughts, notes on my phone, scribbles in my journals, google docs on my drive. This gave it more of a structure and more of a journey to take the reader on. I love journals and books (and very much like to do this to the books that I read too) that have thoughts, realisations, scribbles, ‘aha’ moments and everything in between within the book, and so the pages also include Soul Purpose Practices that have room for reflection, musings and space for your inner world to be written on the page.

Manifestation has played a very distinct role in my own journey. It’s been a dance between masculine and feminine energetics, as well as harmonising logical strategy and intuitive action to create soul-aligned success in my life. From career and business to love and relationships.

You incorporate psychology and neuroscience into your approach. Can you share a surprising scientific insight about manifestation that most people don’t know?

A surprising insight that most people don’t know and often gets overlooked is that our subconscious makes up over 90% of our brain. Every time I say that I like to pause for a moment because that’s a big deal! It’s basically running the show in our day-to-day lives with the beliefs and narratives programmed on a deeper level, but a lot of people are not consciously aware of it. Another is that yes, vision boards are an effective way to approach intentional manifestation. The visual cues signal our Reticular Activating System (RAS), a bundle of nerves in the brainstem that filters out unnecessary information so that the important things come through.

Many people struggle with self-doubt and fear when pursuing their dreams. What’s your best advice for overcoming these internal roadblocks?

To lean into the feelings and find the root cause. Once we can become aware of where this is coming from (on a deeper subconscious level) and the personal narratives that accompany it, we can start to then do the powerful work in choosing to move forward by accepting and making peace with it, or changing them to more empowering beliefs and stories that serve and support us instead.

You’ve worked with ambitious leaders worldwide—what common patterns or limiting beliefs do you see holding people back from achieving their goals?

Fear of Being “Too Much” or “Being Seen”

So we’ve heard about the ‘fear of failure’ but for ambitious leaders and high achievers a common fear, deep down in the subconscious layers, is actually ‘fear of success.’ Many leaders fear that if they fully step into their power, they’ll be judged, rejected, or seen as “too much.” This can lead to playing small, hesitating on bold moves, or holding back from fully expressing themselves and being seen in their authentic nature, this is the time when they will be their most magnetic and experience soul-aligned success!

“I Have to Do It All Myself” and “Success Requires Constant Hustle”

Then there are the very common patterns of hyper-independence – beliefs of “I have to do it all myself” that prevents them from scaling or expanding, receiving support, and stepping into true leadership or “success requires constant hustle.” This belief is most often tied to the equation: working harder = better results, often neglecting themselves (which leads to burnout) and ignores the power of alignment, intuition, along with strategic action—especially for women who are cyclical beings in human nature.

Resistance to receive – Feminine Energy

Then there’s the resistance to receiving and holding more. This is how I work with my clients in the most beautiful way, through feminine energetics. Often ambitious leaders subconsciously associate that more success = more pressure, responsibility or loss of freedom. So what often happens is that they start doing more, without allowing space to receive, or self-sabotage as the belief of “more success = more pressure, responsibility or loss of freedom” keeps them in stagnation. When we work on becoming aware of what they associate it with and then reprogram the subconscious patterns and narratives into more empowering beliefs that support and serve them, then the powerful shifts and expansion starts to happen!

How does connecting with intuition help in manifesting success, and what’s one practical way people can strengthen their intuitive abilities?

Connecting with intuition or ’Your inner compass’ as I titled Chapter 8 in the book helps in manifesting with intent. By aligning actions with the deeper inner wisdom of our soul desires (rather than ego desires) leads to everything feeling a lot more in flow — decisions feel more natural and effortless, and choices are more congruent with your true path.

A practical way to strengthen intuition is through a Soul Purpose Practice (which there are plenty more of these in the book!) of daily stillness — whether through meditation, breathwork or a simple check-in with the body and heart space. By creating sacred space for solitude in quiet reflection, you are able to tune into subtle nudges, the “gut feelings”, the energetic feeling of inner knowings or what I refer to as “Inner sparks”, making it easier to trust, discern between intuition vs. fear, and take action on any intuitive insights.

Your book includes self-discovery exercises—can you share a simple yet powerful exercise that readers can try today?

A fun way is to remember what you used to love to do as a child. This is when we are free from any societal expectations. “We enter into this world wild with innocence, worthy just as we are and free from any social constructs.” pg. 9 Then our views get tainted by societal expectations, disheartening or traumatic experiences – life happens! When we can simply bring awareness back to the things that we loved to do as a child and find ways to incorporate them into our present – even if it’s the childlike energy – we can start to feel more joy and playfulness. Which makes life feel more fun!

You’ve lived in different cities and even out of a suitcase—how has travel influenced your understanding of soul purpose and personal growth?

Solo travel has been such a huge teacher and catalyst in my journey! Travel has this ability to give us new perspectives, insights into different cultures and ways of living; ways of being. It has not only pushed me out of my comfort zone but shown me how to step into confidence. There’s a quote I love from Cesare Pavese that “‘Traveling is brutality […] Nothing is yours except the essential things: air, sleep, dreams, sea, the sky – all things tending towards the eternal or what we imagine of it.’ pg 119 It allows us to step outside of our everyday life and bubbles of belief systems to get a birds eye view of how we’re spending our time, who we’re spending it with, what we’re spending it doing and if it’s congruent to what we truly want; what truly makes us feel aligned with our values and alive.

If someone is completely new to manifestation, what’s the first step they should take to start creating a life that aligns with their soul’s purpose?

Connect with their inner dialogue and subtle energy body. Then take the first action step that has been illuminated with curiosity. You don’t need to have the whole picture figured out to make your next move. You don’t have to get everything in order, either. And if you’re still looking for a sign, this is it.
