Jinyue Fan
Jinyue Fan is a Newcastle-based illustrator, visual artist, and 2D animator whose practice bridges editorial, publishing, and the children’s creative industries—including books, games, animation, and consumer products.
Her work explores storytelling through a delicate balance of emotional resonance and playful imagination, often focusing on the psychological connections between characters and the worlds they inhabit.
Jinyue holds an MA in Character Animation from Central Saint Martins. Her illustrations have been recognized internationally, receiving honors from the Hiii Illustration Awards (Shortlisted, 2024), 3×3 International Illustration Competition (Merit & Honorable Mention), World Illustration Awards (Longlisted, 2025).
Guided by her belief that illustration can offer “a sense of calm and a space for imagination,” Jinyue seeks to create works that resonate with viewers of all ages—inviting them to pause, reflect, and reconnect with their inner stories.
