The team at Ramona Magazine would like to try and spark your creativity during the era of social distancing. We’re hoping to provide a ray of sunshine during a worldwide pandemic, and celebrate some of the wonderful writers in our community.

Seeing as May is Creative Writing Month here at Ramona Magazine, what better way to celebrate creative writing than running a writing competition? So wordsmiths, pick up your pens and open a blank document, the theme for our first ever creative writing competition is ‘Home’.

We are looking for micro fictions (max 600 words), on the theme of ‘Home.’ Feel free to interpret the theme however you’d like. Womxn and non-binary writers of all ages are welcome to submit, and submissions are due Monday June 1, at 4pm.

With the help of our competition sponsors, Scratch & Jotter and OH EM GEE Paper, we have put together some awesome prizes for the winner and runner-up. We wanted to create isolation care packages, with beautiful stationary from small Australian businesses and Ramona reading materials, to keep you feeling inspired.

Scratch & Jotter aims to provide beautiful and functional stationary for thinkers, dreamers, and doers.

OH EM GEE Paper wants to help you celebrate life’s OMG moments with the cutest stationary and cards you ever did see.
