My name is Jordan and I’m an 18-year-old photography student from Virginia, USA. I’m interested in mixing fashion photography with fine art and surrealism.
These photos are based off of how happy I was in my first two months of college. I was free and everything was so magical. I was making friends so quickly. The photos I was taking there were pretty good, which of course made me happy. Unfortunately, halfway through November, I started to realize how delusional I was being; I wasn’t really happy there at all. I cried all the time and locked myself in my room when I wasn’t in class. I decided to drop out in December. Even though I was just in denial of how much I missed home and my friends, I wanted to capture the way I felt those two months. I titled the series “First Day on Earth” to express how life felt brand new and everything appeared to be so great at first. Right now I’m at community college, and even though I am not really getting to delve into different forms of art and explore my creativity as much, I am so much happier.
